Did you know that as you age your two front teeth tend to become shorter from wear? About 2 millimeters on average. So in time, your upper lip covers the front teeth when you smile. That’s not a great look and it makes your mouth area seem a little shrunken.
One way to address the wear is to consider veneers. They add a little bit of bulk to the tooth and help better support the facial tissues. They can restore your tooth length and your smile.
Something else to consider. If your teeth have gotten slightly crooked as you’ve aged and you’d like to do something to straighten them without having to use braces, you might want to consider Invisalign. They’re barely noticeable clear “braces”. They can be removed when you eat, etc. And every two weeks you change to a new prescription until your teeth are aligned as you want them to be.
A couple of ideas you may wish to consider as you get a little older. There’s no reason your teeth can’t look as good as they always have.
If you have any questions about either veneers or Invisalign, give us a call. We’d be glad to discuss either or both with you.
